Yeggs return Obie’s Radio

In the shop where his daddy made and sold gravestones, Obie set up a room for the first radio in town with his high school friends in 1922. By summer, folks were convening at the monument shop to hear concerts from Indianapolis, 100 miles away. One of the singers, in fact, was a local boy whose mother listened at Obie’s radio while her son sang “Goodbye Mother”.

But there was a hiccup as Opie was executing his business plan.
