Flying Turkeys

“As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly.”

— Arthur “Big Guy” Carleson, Manager of WKRP in Cincinnati

In 1932, at a local church fair, a turkey was "released" from the church tower. As it flew down, it struck the glass globe on a street lamp. A small piece of glass struck a child in the eye. The boy recovered, but there was no news about the fate of the turkey.
